The Department of Psychology started functioning in June 2010. The Department of Psychology at Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies is committed to providing students with a rigorous and comprehensive education in the field of psychology. Our faculty are experts in their respective areas of counselling, research, and they are passionate about teaching and mentoring students. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as a number of research opportunities.
Our undergraduate program prepares students for clinical psychology, counselling psychology, school psychology, and industrial-organisational psychology. Our postgraduate programs offer students the opportunity to specialize in their area of interest in counselling and applied psychology and prepare students for careers in research, academia, and counselling practice.
Students are encouraged to participate in both international and national conferences, workshops, seminars, to enhance their theoretical knowledge and imbibe practical skills by participating in community outreach programmes. Co-Curricular activities are encouraged for all round development of the students so that they are enriched with greater values of life and develop service–mindedness. Department has ICT enabled classes provided with smart television and projectors. Students are motivated to use these in academic presentations. M.Sc program in Counselling Psychology was started during the academic year 2015 and Applied Psychology during the academic year 2023.

The vision of the Department of Psychology is to sensitize students to the need and importance of the subject in today's society by providing an enriching environment for learning and taking up professions relating to the field.
