Induction Day Program: Sony Thomas, Clinical Psychologist And Director of Maxmind.

Vilayankode/Pilathara: The PG Department of Psychology of Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies, Vilayankode, Kannur in association with Maxmind Psycho Social Rehab Centre Kannur conducted a Special Induction Program on Making Student’s Aware of Psychology as Professionalizes and Exploring the field of psychology. The Program focused on student’s academic awareness in clinical psychology settings, understanding the clients condition and how to meet them during sessions. . Key principles of this Program is, mastering some techniques to connect with oneself and others, brief idea about Mind, Application of Psychology in various field. The audience included undergraduates Students of Psychology and Post Graduates Students of Psychology at WIRAS. The welcome address was delivered by Asst. Professor of PG Department of Psychology Ms Athira. .The session was inaugurated by Asst. Professor and Head of PG Department of Psychology, Mr. Subair. Program coordinator’s and various management representatives decorated the event with their presence and felicitations. The session was handled by Clinical Psychologist from Maxmind Psycho Social Rehab Centre Kannur, Kerala. He is a practitioner and trainer of Psychotherapy. The session was very active throughout with various case discussions and activities. The participants learnt various ways to improve their understanding skills. The resource person focussed on the importance of psychology as a science and application of psychology in modern Era . The workshop got winded up at 4:00 pm with a feedback session and vote of thanks by Mr Rahul Raj and Mr Arsh A Majeed.
