Nova Initia 2023 ; Induction Program

As a part of inauguration of the new academic year 2023-24, WIRAS celebrated it's Reopening Ceremony on Thursday, June 1st 2023, in the college auditorium. The programme was exclusively organized for the parents & students representing degree 2nd and 3rd years. The session had 2 phases. The official inaugural session flagged off at 9:30 a.m. in the presence of management representatives, principal, teaching & non-teaching faculties, parents & students. It began with the prayer song sung by the college choir. The welcome speech was delivered by Faris Mohammed, the staff secretary and discipline co-ordinator of WIRAS. During his speech, he highlighted the importance of discipline in the institution. This was followed by the presidential address given by Dr. Aboo Ishaque, Principal. The official session was inaugurated by the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wadihuda group of institutions, Mr. SAP Abdussalam. He greeted the audience with an elaborate and effective presentation on creating a nexus between classroom learning and research. The executive officer of WIRAS, Mr. Ali Kutty had delivered a keynote address during the remarkable occasion. Mr. Rajeevan, PTA Representative and the manager of Urban Bank, Taliparamba addressed the gathering and expressed his wishes to the programme. Mr. Nabeel, alumni representative, who was the college topper of the Commerce batch of 2016-19, also joined the gathering and shared his experiences. Carrying on the function further, Mr. Saheed VK, the head of department of chemistry, Mr. Purushothaman M V, IQAC Co-ordinator & the head of department of languages and Mr. Pratheepan R C, PTA Secretary are other delegates who gave a felicitation. We celebrated the success of our outstanding students, who were honoured with mementos as a token of appreciation. We also honoured and appreciated the volunteers for the noble services that they have rendered in running WIRAS stall, in the career fest, Educafe, Kannur by awarding them with mementos. Ms. Nishana, the Induction Programmes Convener of WIRAS, proposed the vote of thanks, which marked the end of the official inaugural session. A short while later, the second half of the programmes scheduled for the day took place simultaneously from the college auditorium and seminar hall. A motivational talk was arranged for the students at the college auditorium. The chief dignitary of the day was Mr. Sirajudheen Parambath, a very prominent motivational speaker, life coach and author. The session commenced with the welcome address delivered by Ms. Hisana Abdul Razak of III year Bsc. Psychology who began by describing his profile. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Fiza Zanjabeel. Parents were moved to the seminar hall for a general PTA meeting where they were familiarized with the newly formed protocols and other necessary disciplinary matters.
