Psychology Association event

The Psychology Association hosted a successful event, commencing with a welcome speech and introduction by Ms. Dilna Surendran . The presidential address was delivered by HOD Ms. Sahla Abdurahman, setting the tone for the event. Her inspiring words highlighted the association's objectives and future plans.

The event recognized academic excellence through Memento Distribution. In Counselling Psychology, Sreeranjini K secured the First spot followed by Fathima Dawood and Arya Subhashkumar was second and third toppers respectively. In Applied Psychology, Afreena took the top spot, with Rouna Mahamood and Afnida as second and third toppers respectively. Additionally, Abhirami V P received the Taisai 2024 Fest Certificate for securing 2nd prize in Phonia.

Ms. Fathima Siyad, expertly introduced Indagatio, painting a vivid picture of the research wing's goals, accomplishments, and exciting future prospects.

The event showcased presentations on Workplace Mental Health by Ms. Rouna Mahamood and Ms. Afreena (Third Sem AP) under the guidance of Ms. Fiza Musthafa. This platform provided students with an opportunity to share their research endeavors.

Ms. Megha made an announcement and presented details about an upcoming national-level workshop on Educational Psychology, organized in collaboration with Wadihuda Women's Academy.

Mr. Miqdad Sulaiman offered a detailed examination of IDEAL Counselling Center's vision, objectives, and strategic plans, illustrating its dedication to empowering individuals, families, and communities through comprehensive counseling services.

The event also featured a short film screening, followed by cash prize distribution to the winners, Rameesa K (5th Sem BSc Psychology) and Muzavvir Ali (5th Sem BCom CA).

A heartfelt gesture, the Gratitude Box, allowed students to express appreciation for their teachers. The event successfully celebrated academic achievements, research, and creativity, fostering community and encouraging growth.

The Psychology Association of WIRAS extended gratitude to all participants, presenters, and organizers for making the event a resounding success.
