WEBINAR ON CAREER GUIDANCE

WIRAS College Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized a session on CAREER GUIDANCE on 24 th & 25 th June 2020. The session was handled by MR MUHAMMED RIYAS M (Psychologist & Career Coach) on both the days for second year and final year students of Physics, Psychology, BCA and Commerce. Duration of the session was 2 hours.

Day 1: 24 th June 2020
Session begun at 10 am by the welcome speech of IQAC coordinator Ms Nimitha K V, followed by a presidential speech of college principal, Mr Muhammed Iqbal P. Followed by inauguration training session had started and resource person Mr Muhammed Riyas M led the session there after. Session focused on achieving the objectives of the session. Resource person discussed about various opportunities for BCA & BSc students. There were 98 participants in the session including students and teachers. Students shared their concern and Question answer session was there. Participants’ feedback indicated that the session was useful. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Remya N, head, dept. of BCA. Feedback was collected from participants using Google forms and a number of 60 feedback forms received. The feedback indicated that the session was productive one and students are looking forward to more programs on career guidance.

Day 2: 25 th June 2020
Session begun at 10 am by the welcome speech of IQAC coordinator Ms Nimitha K V, followed by a presidential speech of college principal, Mr Muhammed Iqbal P. Resource person discussed about various opportunities for commerce students. There were 67 participants in the session including students and teachers. Students shared their concern and Question answer session was there. Participants’ feedback indicated that the session was useful. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Della Samuel, head, dept. of Commerce.

Feedback was collected from participants using Google forms and a number of 20 feedback forms received. The feedback indicated that the session was productive one and students are looking forward to more programs on career guidance. They were suggested to have sessions on CA, PSC opportunities etc.
