WEBINAR ON MOODLE CLOUD AND EFFECTIVE ONLINE TEACHING

WIRAS Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an inter college training session on MOODLE CLOUD & EFFECTIVE ONLINE TEACHING on 16th July 2020. Online training was provided to teaching faculties of WIRAS, Wadihuda institutions and also for teachers from other colleges and school. The main objective of the program was to equip teachers to handle online classes effectively using this particular platform. The session was handled by eminent educationalist DR. MAHAMOOD SHIHAB K M (Principal, Ansar Training College for Women,Thrissur). He is well known in the areas of curriculum development, school& classroom designing, education technology, pedagogy etc. The online training session begun at 02pm with the cordial welcome address by IQAC coordinator Ms Nimitha K V. The presidential speech was delivered by the honorable college principal, Mr. Muhammed Iqbal P. Formal inauguration of the programme was performed by Mr V. K Hamzah Abbas, Chairman, Ta’aleemul Islam Trust. The Managing Director of Wadihuda group of institutions Mr Abdusalam SAP felicitated the session with his words.Training session begun thereafter and the resource person DR. MAHAMOOD SHIHAB K M started the session with a talk on online pedagogy. Session focused on giving an online exploration on using different Moodle platforms for teaching and learning purpose. Resource person enriched the participants with valuable knowledge on Moodle cloud and its various options available for the academicians.There were 64 participants in the session.Question and answer session was organized.The participants and resource person had a wonderful discussion during this time. Participants’ feedback indicated that the session was beneficial for them. WIRAS college staff secretary Mr.Mubhashir N expressed gratitude to all those who were a part of this program. Feedback about the session was collected from the participants using Google forms and the received feed backs indicated that the session was productive and people are looking forward to more programs on this online teachings different aspects.
