Short-term certificate course on Specific Learning Disorder (SLD)

The PG Department of Psychology successfully conducted a 30-hour short-term certificate course on Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) from 13th January 2025. The course was led by esteemed faculties, Mrs. Farish Shakeel and Mr. Shakeep K P, from Phapins Community College of Behaviour Management. The comprehensive course aimed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and understanding of Specific Learning Disorder (SLD). The 24-hour in-class sessions covered theoretical foundations, assessment, and intervention strategies for SLD. A total of 47 students attended the course, demonstrating a keen interest in understanding SLD. The students actively participated in the engaging activities and hands-on training, providing positive feedback on the course content and faculty expertise. To further reinforce the theoretical knowledge gained, 6 hours of practical sessions will be conducted in the coming weeks. These sessions will provide students with hands-on experience in assessing and intervening with individuals with SLD
